Accommodations

A limited number of hotel rooms have been reserved by the MICCAI 2010 local committee at various hotels in Beijing. These offer different price categories as well as discounted room rates for the MICCAI 2010 registrants. Only reservations made through the MICCAI registration system will benefit from these preferentially secured rates.

All hotels are easily and quickly accessible to the MICCAI 2010 meeting site by public transport or taxi. All hotels offer inroom bath/shower/WC, telephone, TV and breakfast. For further information/assistance, please contact the hotel directly.

Reservation conditions and cancellation policy
Hotel accommodation is subject to availability, and requests received after 1 August 2010 cannot be guaranteed. Reservations are made on a first come, first served basis; the availability of rooms in each category is limited.

The rates are quoted in Chinese Yuan (RMB, about 6.85 RMB = 1 US dollar) and are subject to currency fluctuation. Without a special declaration, only guaranteed reservations will be accepted: to guarantee your reservation a deposit covering one night will be required and paid with the conference registration by credit card only (deposits will be deducted from the final hotel bill, which will be paid by the participant at the hotel).

Please print out the receipt that is received at the end of the registration process and present this receipt upon check-in at the hotel as well as at registration and whenever any payments are made.

• Bookings cancelled within 5 days, for cancellations received before August 1, 2010, no penalty will apply
• Bookings cancelled after 5 days, for cancellations received before August 1, 2010, a 15% cancellation fee will apply
• For cancellations received after August 1, 2010 or for no shows, the first night’s deposit will not be returned
• Registrants who fail to attend the conference without prior notice, will be charged for all bookings

Bookings at the InterContinental Beijing Beichen will be charged in full at the time of registration. Cancellations will only be made using the following policy: Cancellations made before the conference will be dealt with the same as those for the other hotels. Special attention should be paid to the fact that this means that the 15% fee for cancelations made more than 5 days after the completion of the registration will include 15% of the entire hotel reservation, and those made within the 100% cancelation time, will include 100% of the hotel charge for all the days for which the hotel was reserved.

The only exception that will be made is if the registrant needs to reduce the number of days staying at this hotel. If this is declared at the hotel at the time of check-in, the charge for the reduced number of days will be refunded after the conclusion of the conference.
